New addition

I intend to blog more often in 2013 :)

This is me... with the new addition to our family. Another little girl. Another little smile to capture.

For the love of Bluebonnets

It is Bluebonnet season in Texas and they are everywhere! All the rain has helped. We hardly got any last year. So I got all excited and took a LOT of photos of the little girl! :)

Austin Kite Festival

We attended the Austin Kite Festival last Sunday, March 4th. The weather was perfect for the event. We decided to go at the last minute so we didn't get there until 3pm. It was impossible to find parking but good luck was on our side when we found a few vacant spots not too far away.

I have never seen so many kites flying at one time. It took almost 15-20 min just to get food and there were people as far as the eye can see. The little girl enjoyed it. What a great experience!

Spring is in the air

We went to the Austin Botanical Gardens last Saturday hoping that I would get some macro photos of the flowers, however we may have been a bit too early. I think the plants were confused at what season it really is. It went up to 90F the week before and then down to the 40's again late last week. There were some in bloom but most of them were wilting and not really photo worthy. Oh well. At least my little girl got to enjoy the beautiful weekend weather.

For the love of leaves

For some reason, she loves leaves. She giggles and jumps for joy as soon as I tell her that we are going out to the backyard. She wanders around the yard finding a perfect looking one and then gives them to me. Maybe she likes the crunchy sound when she steps on them - one of the things she usually does when she sees one.

These were taken with the 135mm 2.0L. My favorite lens when outdoors, it just gives me that perfect creaminess.

Little mail girl

My sister gave this wagon to her for her birthday. On a nice day last week, we finally took it out for a spin. She LOVED it!

Play room

New (or shall I say newly fixed) play room = happy toddler. Tidying up after she has gone to bed is my daily exercise.

During the day, our living room transforms into a huge play area with toys EVERYWHERE... this is why :)
